Peaceful Awe

There is nothing quite like the awe you feel when you care close to a large, intelligent mammal. Especially when its exhibiting natural behaviour in its own environment. The ground was parched and even under IR the grass still manages to look bleak, indicating it was various shades of brown rather then vivid green. A few clouds lined up in the sky behind it and I leant over to grab some photos through the passenger window as it moved by. With the midday sun and the bleached landscape, IR brought up this photo nicely where conventional photography would have struggled.
