The oldest living organisms in the world are the ancient Bristlecone Pine Trees in the White Mountains of California on the border with Nevada in the high Sierra Nevada range. At over 12,000 feet, the trees are exposed to such intense environmental conditions that despite their hundreds and even thousands or years of growth, they are only a few feet tall, but gnarled is a better way to describe where their growth went. This photo is of one of those “Ancient Pine Monster.”
