We’re continuing to expand Canon’s behind-the-lens filter system for full-spectrum and infrared shooting by introducing a custom modified EOS RP, precision tuned to make the most of sensor based Clip-in and adapter based Drop-in filters for simultaneous use. The Multi-Spectrum-Ready RP will ship with a sensor modified and specifically calibrated to allow you to stack up to two filters between your lens and the camera sensor when used simultaneously with our Drop-in glass. And, the specific sensor calibration allows the photographer to do this with no loss of focus range. It’s the most modular, adaptable, and easy-to-use full-spectrum camera and filter configuration.
This system is made possible with a “Naked” Full-Spectrum sensor conversion for the RP camera body. Rather than replacing the removed IR/UV cut OLPF, we leave the sensor bare, or “Naked” and allow the Clip-in Filter system to serve as an interchangeable sensor glass similar to systems you’ll find in Sigma bodies or professional cinema cameras. The Multi-Spectrum-Ready Canon RP will ship with a clear full-spectrum Clip-in filter with the option to add and swap this Clip-in filter for Infrared, H-alpha, or IR/UV Cut Hot Mirror glass. Combine this with our Canon R Drop-in Adapter filters, and the possibilities for filter combinations become endless without ever threading glass in front of your lens.
This package is also available to upgrade to the Canon EOS R6 and R5 full-frame mirrorless camera models.
