I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the communication and service I received from Kolarivision. I was having trouble with an infrared camera,not being able to use channel swap and achieve the correct picture.After a week or so of emails and sending my pictures to kolarivision it was determined I didn’t have the correct filter installed.I shipped the camera to them on Wednesday and had it corrected and back by the following Wednesday.I would highly recommend them to ANYBODY! Well, first of all would like to thank Kolari so answering all my doubts, second, received the camera DMC-FH27 and another thanx to Kolari for making this camera a must buy!!!! One small thing bout this camera was when using flash, the custom white balance is not working… besides that, everything is PERFECT!!! I sent my old Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5 to Kolari Vision for full spectrum conversion. They did a great job! I’ve been using it to take great infrared pictures with a Hoya R-72 filter. The camera works very well. If you’ve got an old camera you’re not using anymore (especially a point and shoot), send it to Kolari Vision for conversion. I highly recommend their work.

I have bought two IR converted Lumix compacts from Kolari Vision. The first was an FH20, the second an SZ7. Both have been excellent, easy to use, and have produced images which I have been happy to have made into 60*45cm canvasses. Throroughly recommended.

I found the Kolari Vision while searching the web. Their well planned, informative website convinced me to send my Lumix LX5 for a 850nm conversion.
Within one week, I received my converted camera. I’m still in the familiarization phase though.
The focus and auto exposure is right on. I do notice a hotspot on some shots (as Kolari Vision noted I may on my model), but I can correct for it in PS.
I am completely satisfied with the service I received and will recommend them to my photographer friends.

Amazing Lumix SZ7 with 850nm conversion. Delighted with results, and Ilija could not be more helpful. Bought mine on eBay and it is a breath of fresh air to find such a good experience on there – especially as I am across the pond in the UK! The camera was beautifully packed and arrived safely. Would not hesitate to have another camera converted at some time.

My first experience with IR was in the 1960’s using KODAK IR film. Developing was difficult to say the least. Judging exposure was also a problem.
I decided that a trial with a Lumix DMC SZ25 with a 720nm filter was something that I could try.
What a gretl surpise. a small 16 MP camera with a 24mm wide angle lens, Charge the battery , set white balance on a tree in my garden and WOWW…!!! I am seeing shots that I had tried for years on film.
I find thad bracketing for exposure is helpful.
