Our installation service takes the complexity out of the process, ensuring a hassle-free experience for customers who seek to benefit from the Pod Mod kit. By moving the original 5″ touch screen to the top of the camera, you’ll have ideal access to the camera’s outstanding user interface even while a V-mount battery is attached. The display’s enclosure also features 3x cold shoe attachment points on its back panel, allowing microphone receivers and portable SSDs to be connected.

Processing Time
Our standard turnaround time for camera conversions is 2 weeks on average for most models. This is only an estimate and not a guarantee. Our standard turnaround time may occasionally exceed 2 weeks during our busy season (April-August) or take less than 2 weeks in our off-season (September-March).
We do our best to accommodate each and every one of our customers year-round.
If ordering one of our pre-converted cameras, keep in mind that they are made to order and are not eligible for rush processing. Please allow at least 2 weeks before your camera ships out to you. Plan for trips and assignments accordingly!
Any time frames that we provide, including shipping time, turnaround time, and rush processing times, are only estimates and are subject to availability. We make no guarantees on service time or shipping times.
Warranty
All of our conversions and converted or modified cameras come with a 1 year warranty for post-conversion malfunctions and electronic issues related to the conversion service.
This warranty does not include wear and tear repairs such as, but not limited to; shutter failure. Warranty does not cover user-caused damage, or other issues unrelated to our conversion services or camera modifications.
For more comprehensive coverage we highly recommend our Extend warranty, which also covers accidental damage.

FAQ
Q: How portable is the camera once modded?
A: Because the screen folds to 90 degrees, with a lens attached, the modded Pocket camera will fit in the same space in your bag if the V-mount battery is detached.
Q: How do I monitor the V-mount battery’s charge?
A: Many V-mount batteries feature an LED power-level indicator on the side. Click the button to see the remaining power level. It is also a good idea to set the Pocket camera’s battery-level indicator to display voltage by tapping it on the main shooting page.
When the V-mount battery is full, the voltage should be approximately 16.8V. When depleted, it will display approximately 13V. Almost all V-mount batteries also feature a low-voltage safety cutoff, reducing the risk of over-discharging the battery.
Q: How durable is the V-mount plate?
A: Because all parts of the V-mount and display are CNC-machined from aluminium, the V-mount is significantly more durable than the polycarbonate plastic used for the Pocket camera and most V-mount batteries.
As a result, the modification makes the camera more durable. If the camera were dropped from a great height, the camera’s or battery’s plastic housing would be more likely to crack or break first.
Q: Can I still use the 12V power port on the camera?
A: Because the V-mount power input must be connected to the power board inside the Pocket camera, the 12V LEMO power port on the side of the camera will no longer function.
We recommend owning at least two V-mount batteries so that you can charge one while using the other during long filming days. Alternatively, mains-power-to-V-mount adapters are available online.
The camera will also work with LP-E6 dummy batteries when the V-mount battery is not installed. Do not use an LP-E6 dummy battery and a V-mount battery at the same time, as this may cause permanent damage to the camera.
Q: Can I still use LP-E6 batteries?
A: Yes. LP-E6 batteries still fit inside the Pocket camera’s battery compartment, and the camera can be used with an LP-E6 battery installed without a V-mount battery.
This means that V-mount batteries can be hot-swapped during long takes and interviews. When mounted, the V-mount battery will charge the internal LP-E6 battery while also powering the camera, so you do not need to power-cycle the camera when changing the V-mount battery.
The camera can also be used with a V-mount battery without an LP-E6 battery installed.
Q: Does it still work on gimbals?
A: Depending on your lens and gimbal, the back of the V-mount battery may touch the roll motor.
We recommend powering the Pocket camera with an LP-E6 dummy battery connected to a V-mount or power-output port on your gimbal. However, most gimbals should function normally when used with a compact lens.
You can also use counterweights to move the payload’s centre of gravity toward the back of the camera and prevent the battery from touching the roll motor.
