Brand new, full-spectrum converted, highly capable and compact Sony action camera.
This compact action camera is highly capable with much of the same system functionality as the full frame Sony Mirrorless Alpha cameras.
One of the key outstanding features is the ability to set a custom white balance for video! This is the first action we’ve seen with this capability, and it is invaluable for infrared videography – allowing you to retain much of the color space, otherwise lost with inadequate kelvin settings, in the compressed video file. All that remains is to apply a red to blue channel swap. Most other models on the market only allow video whitebalance to be set to specific kelvin values far to high for infrared work resulting in poor post-process white balancing and color quality.
This model is also waterproof to 33ft, supports an astounding 1000fps at 1080p resolution, and can record 4k at 30fps.
Waterproofing is maintained after the modification!
The camera includes a filter adapter housing that allows you to use our standard 37mm infrared filters with the system. This housing was specifically selected as it does not impair the waterproofing of the camera, unlike others on the market. This housing is included with our optional 5 and 6 filter sets, but will not be included without the set selected!
Some of the key features the converted Sony RX0 II offers:
(Note: we use our lighter standard filters to avoid additional weight)
Note: This camera does exhibit an infrared hotspot beginning above 720nm, below this wavelength it is was not visible. We therefor recommend using filters at or below 720nm with this camera.
Cameras are made to order, please allow up to two weeks for you camera to ship.
By purchasing you agree to our Terms of Purchase.
Optional 5 filter set includes:
Our standard turnaround time for camera conversions is 2 weeks on average for most models. This is only an estimate and not a guarantee. Our standard turnaround time may occasionally exceed 2 weeks during our busy season (April-August) or take less than 2 weeks in our off-season (September-March).

We do our best to accommodate each and every one of our customers year-round.
If ordering one of our pre-converted cameras, keep in mind that they are made to order and are not eligible for rush processing. Please allow at least 2 weeks before your camera ships out to you. Plan for trips and assignments accordingly!

Some delivery addresses are classified by DHL as remote areas. These are locations that are farther away from major cities or standard delivery routes, such as rural towns, islands, or hard-to-reach regions.
Because of the extra time and cost required to deliver there, DHL applies a Remote Area Surcharge (RAS).
With our shipping calculator, these surcharges are now shown before you place your order.
If your address is flagged as a remote area, we recommend checking whether you have an alternative address (such as a workplace or a friend/family member’s address) that is not on DHL’s remote area list. This can help you avoid the surcharge.
You can verify whether an address is in a remote area by checking DHL’s current list of postal codes:
