Description
We’re excited to introduce our new Kolari Magnetic Clip-in Filters for Sony E-Mount! Compatible with most Sony mirrorless systems, our Kolari Magnetic Clip-In Filters can be used to add rear filtering to Sony E-mount full-frame cameras.
These filters consist of the professional-level optics we’re known for securely fitted into a CNC-machined aluminum magnetic frame, designed with maximum lens compatibility in mind. This one size fits all filter solution also works great with lenses that don’t have filter threads and can also be used alongside external lens filters for multiple layers of filtration.
We apply premium anti-reflective and anti-smudge hard coatings to our premium glass to increase light transmission while reducing flares and ghosting. Hydrophobic, dust resistant, and scratch-resistant, these multi-coatings make cleaning and upkeep an effortless task.

Compatibility:
Sony A7, Sony A7II, Sony A7III, Sony A7R, Sony A7R II, Sony A7R III, Sony A7R IV, Sony A7R V, Sony A7S, Sony A7S II, Sony A7S III, Sony A9, Sony A9 II, A7 IV, Sony FX3, Sony A1*, Sony A7C*, Sony A7C II* Sony A7 V
NOT compatible with Sony FX6
*Our clip-in filters are partially compatible with the Sony ZV-E1 and do require a magnetic mounting plate to be present. Compatibility is dependent on the lens used. Some lenses have a more protruding rear element. As the ZV-E1 has a more shallow mount style, these types of lenses may cause some physical contact with the back of the lens while a clip-in filter is in use. Some lenses may not leave enough room due to their rear end design, while others may just about work.
Our infrared filters will require a full-spectrum modified camera to produce the proper effect. (590nm, 665nm, 720nm, 850nm, IR Chrome Lite, UV/IR Cut Hot Mirror Pro 2)
*The Sony A1 & A7C require a magnetic mounting plate to work with our magnetic clip-in filters. If you own an A1 or A7C, please select “YES” in the “Magnetic Mounting Plate” drop-down menu.
*** IR Chrome Lite Filter, Hot Mirror Pro 2& Iridium can experience a purple color shift when using certain Sony lenses. Unlike the lens filter iteration of these filters, affected lenses will display this issue across all focal ranges.

Astrophotography Warning: Astrophotography thoroughly tests the optics of any camera system and lens. Ultrawide lenses are particularly challenging because of the high rear incidence angles involved where any additional glass has the possibility of inducing a field curvature which can cause corner sharpness on a lens-by-lens basis; this effect is most noticeable at wide apertures. While this should always be a consideration with any ultra wide lens, we typically only see issues with astrophotography where the target subject is a series of geometrically perfect points of light at infinity, shot at wide apertures.

Erich Blasingame –
The overall quality of these new series of filters is awesome. The filters fit like a glove inside the camera body and provide stellar quality images with their filters.
These filters are ideal for anybody such as hobbyist or even artist.
Alan Clark (verified owner) –
I have four of these filters, two for infrared photography with a modified Sony A7R body and two to protect the sensor on unmodified bodies They. are easy to use and save the need for multiple screw-in filters, but one arrived with the filter out of the frame, so I had to glue it back in place.
My only caveat concerns the IR Chrome Lite filter. This usually does not work! Most of my photos with this filter have a strong purple cast. This happens with four different lenses, regardless of focal length, aperture and manufacturer. Bizarrely, I have twice had the result that it is intended to produce. I asked Kolari about it, and they said “this is an inherit issue with IR Chrome Lite Clip-In used with a Sony E-mount lens, due to the high incidence angle used in their lenses. This causes a color shift with interference based rear filters.” Since this is a known problem I think they should not sell this filter until they can guarantee that it will work. I still don’t know how to get it to work reliably, so for me it is virtually useless.
