DJI Mavic 3 Drone Camera Full-Spectrum Conversion Service (Wide Angle Sensor)

We are now excited to bring infrared capabilities to the DJI Mavic 3 drone series cameras!

With this service, we can convert the wide-angle camera on Mavic 3 (including cine variants) to full-spectrum. All conversions include a professional focus recalibration to infinity. We are able to leave the original lens unmodified, so the original lens profiles still apply, and the resulting images stitch the same as a stock camera.

The sensor we can modify is the 1x wide-angle sensor; this is the one sensor shared across all M3 models. Unfortunately, we’re unable to modify the 7x and 3x sensors on the M3 and M3 Pro models due to the internal design.

While we are actively developing our own IR filters for the Mavic 3 series drones, these are not yet available. In the meantime, we are able to create custom filters for this drone model’s camera sensor on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out directly to our customer service team for custom filter requests.

At this time, we have not determined if we will bring these conversions to the Mavic 3 enterprise series.

Edge Sharpness Loss Warning:
During these conversions we do everything we can to optimize the final image quality and to avoid corner sharpness loss. Typically end results will match original performance at wider apertures, however, if some corner sharpness loss is present; shooting at narrower apertures should bring performance back in line with an unmodified sensor.

NOTE: If your camera is close or not able to reach infinity focus after an IR conversion, install a Kolari Clear Magnetic Clip-in Filter to fix the issue.
