Photo Essay: London (2001)

Author: Tamara Rose

These photos were taken during a trip to London in the spring of 2001. I was inspired by the city’s many color palettes—from the brightly colored storefronts on Camden High Street to the muted tones of Trafalgar Square. There were many landmarks to visit, including the Tower of London and the London Eye. The sky was often foggy and cloudless, providing an intriguing atmosphere and showcasing the historic architecture. Something that stands out is the presence of clocks, both Big Ben and the clock amid the heads and hands at Madame Tussauds. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much time has passed.
