Umbrella couple in the park

Back in the day this was a favorite park of mine in the Los Angeles area. Now that I shoot a lot of infrared I’m always looking for interesting landscapes so I decided to visit Balboa Park. As I was walking through I noticed an elderly man sitting on a bench with a woman shading him from the sun with an umbrella. As I shot the image it reminded me of a French impressionist painting. They actually looked as if they were posing for me when in reality I don’t think they ever saw me. I think he may have been napping and she was staring out at the ducks in the pond in front of her.
