The Flying Wedge

Driving back all the way from Eilat to Tel Aviv, we’ve come across this orchard.
And having seen me standing around and shooting, the kind guard has let us in.

To be completely candid, I’ve had a different photo in mind when I’ve stepped through that gate, but while I was standing in the corner of the orchard, configuring the camera, I’ve noticed the optical effect the wide angle lens has on the trees – every one of which is planted at the exact distance and angle from its peers.

I’ve decided it might be interesting to make a photograph out of it.
