St John Starlight
I intend for this to be submitted to the Astrophotography Category but there was not a contest category for that in the drop down above. This is a night shot of Hart Bay on St John, USVI taken with at 14mm, ISO 250 at 25 seconds.
Tawhai Falls
Visited Tawhai Falls with other photographer friends. One of my favourite places in central North Island to photograph. Tawhai Falls is a 13 metre high waterfall located in the UNESCO Duel World Heritage Tongaririo National Park. Just a 20 minute walk, easy track down to the falls.
Linn Cove Milky Way Core
My mantra for milky way photography is “Find a good landscape first. Then figure out how to put the milky way in it.” This time I broke my own rule. Shot at 55mm this image shows many areas of nebulae (fuzzy areas of reds, blues, and yellows) within and near the milky way core.
