I was on my wedding anniversary on the Hawaiian island of Maui, looking for a park where I could shoot some beautiful photos of waterfalls. Kapaniwai Park was recommended by my hotel concierge. So I drove an hour to find this park that had no active waterfalls unless it was raining, and it was not. Just a lot of muddy paths through dark wooded passages. While on one of the trails I came upon this little seating area at the bottom of a hill, and thought the pattern of the trail was interesting. Never imagining what infrared could create here. A solid walk way turned into a bloody flowing river, with. Plants drained of all life. That’s the fun of it all. I never know what the camera is seeing.
