Liquid Light
Along the trail to Catawba Falls in Old Fort, NC, I found this cascade of water flowing through a crevasse in the trail above. At the moment I walked up a beam of sunlight hit the water at the top making it look like liquid light!

This was the view from our deck at the house we rented in Old Fort, North Carolina. The B &W treatment just brings out the layers that are created by the mountains and fog.
Abandoned
This photo was taken at the abandoned hospital at historic Ellis Island. I wanted it to give a sense of the loneliness immigrants must have felt when sometimes required to stay at the hospital before being permitted to enter the USA.
