The sensual curves of Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley National Park, CA are so much more apparent as the sun sets. Converting to B&W let me show the contrast of light even more.
Along the trail to Catawba Falls in Old Fort, NC, I found this cascade of water flowing through a crevasse in the trail above. At the moment I walked up a beam of sunlight hit the water at the top making it look like liquid light!
On our way up the trail to the much larger Catawba Falls in Old Fort, NC, I found that the small intimate falls were much more photogenic.
Every day we returned to our rental on top of the mountain in North Carolina as the sunset was different every day!
