The Heart Nebula (IC 1805) is 7500 light-years away from earth located in the Perseus Arm of our Milky Way galaxy. It is mainly composed of ionized hydrogen and oxygen III gas. This was a 26 hour integration of 5-minute stacked exposures through a 13″ reflecting telescope. The complete picture is a four -panel mosaic due to the size of the nebula and the long focal length of the telescope (1500mm, f/4.5).
