Frequently Asked Questions

A Variable Neutral Density (VND) filter reduces the amount of light entering your lens, giving you control over exposure without changing camera settings.
VND filters are useful for maintaining consistent shutter speeds and apertures in changing light, making them ideal for video, bright conditions, and minimizing gear.
It features premium glass, tactile feedback with hard stops, advanced anti-reflective and protective coatings, a slim aluminum ring to reduce vignetting, and an easy-grip design for smooth use.
We offer two versions: a 2–5 stop VND for everyday shooting and a 6–9 stop VND for brighter conditions and long exposures.
No, the design minimizes cross-polarization issues when used within its intended stop range.
The VND does not have front threads, so if stacking filters we recommend placing the VND at the end of the stack.
The Pro VND performs well up to 720nm, but for dedicated infrared work we recommend using our Kolari Pro ND Filters instead.
