The flooded bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kalyazin during the first snowfall. The bell tower was built in 1800 at the Nikolsky Cathedral (erected in 1694) of the former Nikolo-Zhabensky monastery in the classicism style; had five tiers, a dome with a head and a spire. When the Uglich reservoir was created, the old part of Kalyazin was in the flooded zone; the cathedral was dismantled, and the bell tower was left as a lighthouse.
