This Nikon D40 is the most cost effective infrared ready interchangeable lens camera kit! This is an all in one package with all required accessories included. We include an infrared compatible NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G zoom lens to cover a good range of shooting scenarios.
This camera comes with native RAW capabilities and is a great option if you are looking to test the waters of infrared photography without going into the deep end.
Compose naturally through the optical viewfinder in RAW capturing your images for proper infrared post-processing adjustments.
This is a used camera that has been thoroughly tested for its functionality and professionally converted to infrared 665nm by Kolari Vision.
We provide a free custom DNG profile download to simplify proper infrared color correction in post.
You do not need an account to download, click continue with download only to proceed. Once downloaded, you can load this profile directly into Lightroom or Photoshop by following this tutorial.
***Please note: an in-camera white balance cannot be set on this model. Shooting in RAW will allow for full white balance adjustment during post-processing.
***Dust reduction systems are disabled after conversion.

Warranty
All of our conversions and converted or modified cameras come with a 1 year warranty for post-conversion malfunctions and electronic issues related to the conversion service.
This warranty does not include wear and tear repairs such as, but not limited to; shutter failure. Warranty does not cover user-caused damage, or other issues unrelated to our conversion services or camera modifications.
For more comprehensive coverage we highly recommend our Extend warranty, which also covers accidental damage.
