Kolari Magnetic Clip-in Filters For Nikon Z-Mount (Iridium)

Boost in-camera color and contrast for dramatic vibrant tones.

Image name: Collecting The Lilies, Author name: Shibasish Saha

Unlock vibrant color and stunning infrared effects straight out of the camera with the Kolari Iridium Filter. Designed for both standard and full-spectrum converted mirrorless cameras, the Iridium Filter enhances image quality by selectively filtering out “in-between” wavelengths of light, letting pure reds, greens, and blues shine through with exceptional clarity.

On standard cameras, this innovative filter produces images with richer saturation, deeper skies, warmer skin tones, and more vibrant landscapes with no editing required. On full-spectrum, the Iridium Filter delivers surreal, infrared-inspired imagery similar to the classic “Wood Effect” achieved with a 720nm filter, but with no channel swap required.

Crafted with the premium optical glass we’re known for, our Kolari Magnetic Clip-in Filters for Nikon Z-mount are finished with advanced anti-reflective and anti-smudge hard coatings to boost light transmission and reduce flares and ghosting. These multi-coated filters are also hydrophobic, dust-resistant, and scratch-resistant, making them easy to clean and built to withstand the demands of any shooting environment.

Each filter is housed in a precision CNC-machined aluminum magnetic frame designed for maximum lens compatibility. This rear-mounted solution works seamlessly with lenses that lack front filter threads and can also be paired with external lens filters, allowing for flexible, multi-layered filtration setups.

Our magnetic mounting plate is recommended for all clip-in-compatible Z models!

Nikon Z5, Z6, Z6 II, Z6 III, Z7, Z7 II, Z8, Z9, and ZF

At this time, our Kolari Magnetic Clip-in Filters for Nikon Z-mount are not compatible with the Nikon Z50 or Nikon Z-mount APS-C cameras.

Our infrared filters will require a full-spectrum modified camera to produce the proper effect. (590nm, 665nm, 720nm, 850nm, IR Chrome Lite, UV/IR Cut Hot Mirror Pro 2)

*** Please note that when used with a Nikon Z Mount 26mm f/2.8 lens, the rear element may protrude into the lens mount. This lens is not compatible with clip-in filters.

**Iridium Wide-Angle Color Shift Warning: The Iridium filter may cause significant color shift when paired with certain camera models and wide-angle lenses.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Kolari Magnetic Clip-In Filter is a versatile filter system designed to fit directly into the Nikon Z-Mount, allowing you to use various filters such as ND, Mist, Infrared, SFX, Astro, and more with any lens size.
This system provides a one-filter-fits-all solution, eliminating the need for multiple filter sizes. It is easy to install and remove, and offers a wide range of filter options for different photography needs.
Yes, our Kolari Magnetic Clip-in Filters for Nikon Z-Mount is compatible with all Nikon Z-mount lenses. They are also compatible with F-mount lenses when using an FTZ adapter.
The filter clips securely into the Nikon Z-Mount using a magnetic mechanism. Once the mag mount plate is installed, simply place the filter into the mount and it will snap into place. (See guide video above.)
No, these filters are made from high-quality optical glass and feature advanced coatings to ensure they maintain image sharpness, color accuracy, and thickness required for fast and accurate focus.
The series includes ND (Neutral Density), Mist, Infrared, SFX (Special Effects), Astro, and other specialty filters to cater to various photography and videography needs.
The slim design of the filter minimizes the risk of vignetting, even when used with wide-angle lenses.
Astrophotography thoroughly tests the optics of any camera system and lens. Ultrawide lenses are particularly challenging because of the high rear incidence angles involved where any additional glass has the possibility of inducing a field curvature which can cause corner sharpness on a lens-by-lens basis; this effect is most noticeable at wide apertures. While this should always be a consideration with any ultra wide lens, we typically only see issues with astrophotography where the target subject is a series of geometrically perfect points of light at infinity, shot at wide apertures.

Some delivery addresses are classified by DHL as remote areas. These are locations that are farther away from major cities or standard delivery routes, such as rural towns, islands, or hard-to-reach regions.

Because of the extra time and cost required to deliver there, DHL applies a Remote Area Surcharge (RAS).

With our shipping calculator, these surcharges are now shown before you place your order.

If your address is flagged as a remote area, we recommend checking whether you have an alternative address (such as a workplace or a friend/family member’s address) that is not on DHL’s remote area list. This can help you avoid the surcharge.
