Death

“Death” captures the ongoing cycle of nature in my hometown, Phoenix AZ. Photographing in infrared brings new life to vegetation, but I chose to capture this dead cacti. This dead saguaro photographed in pink, same as the lifeless dirt surrounding it – not the blue hues otherwise seen in the live plants. Being a stark contrast to an otherwise full of life scene, I aim to show that there is beauty in death.
