A Long Look At Horseshoe Lake

This photo was taken in July 2022 at Horseshoe Lake in Arizona. The lake is down about 50 feet due to a prolonged drought in the Southwestern states. The EOS RP was purchased new from Kolari as a full spectrum converted camera. The lens was the Canon EF 17-40mm F4L. The IR filter was Kolari’s 720NM behind the lens magnetic mount for the RP. In front of the lens was Kolari’s IRND 15 stop filter. The exposure was for 3.5 minutes giving the clouds as wispy, dreamy appearance and the lake a smoked-glass look.
