Digital B&W Infrared Workshop

May 18-21, 2021

Are you a fan of infrared imagery?? Imagine coming to play in a very picturesque area of rolling hills, trees and farms to use as your playground! Do you wish that there was a way to learn the nuances of quality infrared capture? Have you dreamed that there was a way to get experience to help you determine if you would like to invest in an infrared converted camera.

Ken Sklute will make this a reality. Ken has captured some of his most beautiful IR images in this target rich environment. In order to capture very strong images, Ken will share with you his methodology for being in the right place at the right time with the correct camera and lens.

Whether you are a seasoned pro or just beginning your IR photographic journey, you will grow and go away with remarkable imagery! Springtime in this picturesque countryside will be the landscape for our capturing afternoons of black and white IR imagery.

You need not have an IR converted camera as the leader in Infrared conversions, KolariVision will have cameras available for you to try if you do not have a camera that has already been converted.**

There will be lessons in how to think with IR eyes as well as camera techniques. You will be armed with the knowledge by an expert in the world of IR for the past 30 years to help with your time invested.

Each morning we will view and provide a critique of your images in order to potentially improve your skills each day before you go out to shoot with your improving vision!

Here are some of the important elements that I hope to expand your photographic skills in:

  • Image pre-visualization
    • Location determination
    • Composition
    • Exposure
    • Lens selection
    • Depth of field
    • Image processing in Lightroom
    • Image enhancement in Photoshop

This 4 day workshop will have a maximum of 12 attendees. The cost to attend this workshop in the magnificently rolling hills will be $1,595.00 per person USD.

What is included:

Instruction each day as well as critiques and post-processing lessons, opening night dinner.
